Jo Enright's parents left Ireland in the 1950's and went to live in Birmingham because the boat to New York was full. Jo was one of the smallest babies ever born in Dudley Road Hospital. They delivered her on to a teaspoon and just flicked her into the incubator and she grew up on the edges of Spaghetti Junction in a place called Erdington. Jo went on to become an award-winning comedienne ( Chortle Best Female Act and Jongleurs best Female Act) and a very popular comic actress ( Angela in ITV's The Job Lot, Beverley in Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights) Erdington Girl is her full length stand up show. It's mostly a true story.
